Case Referral to Bowtie Health Specialist
After receiving the insured's request, Bowtie Customer Service will refer the case to a Bowtie Health Specialist for follow-up.
If the insured already has a valid referral letter, the Bowtie Health Specialist will book the scan with the designated imaging center and apply for pre-approval from Bowtie on your behalf. You don't need to fill out the pre-approval application yourself. After the application is approved, you will be notified of the appointment details via email.

If the insured doesn't have a referral letter, the Bowtie Health Specialist will first arrange a consultation with a Bowtie & JP Health doctor. If the consultation indicates a medical necessary need for the advanced imaging scan, a referral letter will be issued. The Bowtie Health Specialist will book the scan with the designated imaging center and apply for pre-approval from Bowtie on your behalf. You don't need to fill out the pre-approval application yourself. After the application is approved, you will be notified of the appointment details via email.
