HONG KONG, July 11, 2019 – Virtual Insurer, Bowtie, featured John Tsang, its Senior Advisor in a new video, recreating an iconic scene from the movie “Golden Chicken 2”. Nicknamed “Wah Jai”, Tsang took the role originally played by Andy Lau, bringing the audience to the future of Hong Kong in 2047.
As the Senior Advisor of Bowtie for the eighth term, Tsang in the video stressed the importance of freedom of choice for Hongkongers, and expressed his will to walk hand in hand with Hong Kong people, providing them with medical protection that is “high in protection, low cost, and purely digital”.
“It has been a pleasure making this video with the Bowtie team, a team of entrepreneurs who not only talk the talk, but walk the walk by bringing their dreams into reality, amid all the uncertainties determining our future. This video reflected my wish for Hong Kong for the next 30 years. Although there are many things that are still beyond Hongkongers’ control, I hope to promote and inspire the development of innovation and technology, and improve Hongkongers’ livelihood through fundamental measures. Moving forward, I will work closely with Bowtie, to deepen Hong Kong people’s understanding of insurance through promotional activities, with the aim to ease the pressure on our public healthcare system, and bring real protection to everyone in Hong Kong,” said Tsang, Senior Advisor of Bowtie.
“We are thankful for Mr Tsang’s involvement in this creative initiative. We believe Hong Kong people deserve more comprehensive medical protection, that is why we built a fully digital platform to provide Hongkongers with complete autonomy to medical insurance. Bowtie supports Hongkongers’ right to freedom of choice in insurance products and aims to make private medical care more accessible to everyone,” said Fred Ngan, Bowtie’s Co-founder and Co-CEO.
